A couple of winters ago I tried tour skating in Vuokatti. The rental boots for the blades were really hard and uncomfortable. Luckily, I remembered that I had my Footbalance footbeds in my winter shoes, so I transferred those into the rental boots. Off I went to the ice. Everything went well after some initial clumsiness, and my feet lasted as if I were wearing my own tour skates.
