Using my own footbeds makes rental boots comfortable.

A couple of winters ago I tried tour skating in Vuokatti. The rental boots for the blades were really hard and uncomfortable. Luckily, I remembered that I had my Footbalance footbeds in my winter shoes, so I transferred those into the rental boots. Off I went to the ice. Everything went well after some initial clumsiness, and my feet lasted as if I were wearing my own tour skates.

I was already headed back to our cottage when I realized I had left my footbeds in the rental boots. Fortunately the shop was open, and I got them back. I usually rent my cross country and alpine boots, and using my own footbeds makes rental boots comfortable.
