Great Place to Work’s employee survey platform measures and analyses employee experience and helps the organization to identify its strengths and points of improvement. “Thanks to the data we received through the survey, we have started working on different HR initiatives and projects that will make Footbalance even a better place to work in,” says Niina Kinnunen, FootBalance’s CFO and head of HR.
FootBalance has globally 32 employees, each working to ensure better foot health and wellbeing for 15 billion feet around the world. “Our FootBalance family consists of amazing people who are all great professionals, and for us the wellbeing of our employees is important. The coronavirus pandemic has brought new challenges to our working lives, so now more than ever we need to be flexible and find new solutions to help our staff stay motivated and boost team spirit,” adds Niina.
Everyone’s voice is heard
For Tia Alatalo, FootBalance’s Procurement and Logistics Manager, the Great Place to Work Certification has highlighted the many positives of working for FootBalance.
“It’s great to work in an innovative and growing company, with highly professional colleagues who are always ready to help and support you. At FootBalance, employee opinions matter and everyone’s voice is heard. This has a direct impact on staff motivation and wellbeing. Our work is also very flexible. Everyone has clear goals and projects, and the company trusts us to do our best,” says Tia.
“Even though we are working hard to reach our goals and take the company to the next level, the workplace atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly. The pandemic has brought its own challenges – now most of us work from home and in-person meetings are rare. Luckily, we have a virtual coffee break every Friday, when we can share news and a laugh.”
